Spring 2024 Internship – Internship Analytics

ABOUT THE ANALYTICS VERTICAL

  • CSMG’s Analytics services are implemented for schools and conferences seeking to better understand the current and potential value of their assets, and CSMG benchmarks them relative to the college sponsorship and media marketplace

  • This division measures the number and value of impressions assets currently generate, each asset’s specific value, potential assets to add and improve, to increase revenue potential and achievement

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct data analysis of collegiate athletics (and secondarily professional sports) property assets, establishing their value in the marketplace

  • Benchmark and evaluate multimedia rights on behalf of sports properties

  • Create sponsorship asset valuation and perform impressions calculations to support and integrate with the Sponsorship and Media Sales department

  • Benchmark and measure naming rights for college, professional and cultural facilities

  • Develop analytics databases, tracking marketing and commercial performance of collegiate athletic programs and professional sports properties

  • Support request for proposals and pitch decks from a broad range of potential college school, conference, and facility clients

  • Run geotargeting analyses for brands relative to CSMG college school and conference clients

REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to detail/dedication to learning new things, as well as a strong ability to multitask and adapt

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and social media, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in addition to Word

  • Background and experience in python, Google API, and/or RStudio, as well as an ability to code within said programs

  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and editing skills required

  • A team player who can also operate independently and take ownership of his/her own projects
