Spring 2024 Internship – Sponsorship Sales Intern
To facilitate the application of marketing knowledge secured in the classroom to the real world in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
To develop critical thinking, project management skills, and the ability to evaluate and improve project results
To develop strategic marketing and media knowledge, as well as presentation skills with on-the-job training
To experience and execute on-site brand activation for our sponsors and our properties (requires some travel)
Duties & Responsibilities:
As an Intern, your educational opportunities may include, but are not limited to the below:
Knowledge and experience in esports sponsorship and landscape
Support sales efforts for Sponsorship and Media Sales for Sports Sales Group
Research and develop points of view on new business leads for Collegiate Sports Management Group Properties
Build/maintain databases for all “mid-major” Division I, Division II, Division III, and JUCO conferences and schools
Support requests for proposals from various potential clients using PowerPoint and Word
Create sponsorship asset valuations and perform impressions calculation
Support maintenance of ongoing agency and brand Status Updates
Assist in in-depth research on special projects and background information on targeted prospects and clients, both for Analytics and Marketing Services Group and for Media and Sponsorship Sales Group
Maintain updated credentials and pitch decks based on ongoing refinements made to specific presentations
Support schedule management for Managing Partners
Brainstorm/execute ideas for potential marketing solutions in support of current/prospective advertisers and sponsors
Manage activation for clients, create post-analysis for ongoing projects, and give recommendations for future growth
Requirements
Must be a graduate student (open to all majors/disciplines):
Attention to detail/dedication to learning new things/ strong ability to multitask and adapt
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and social media, especially Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and editing skills required
A team player who can also operate independently and take ownership of his/her own project
Experience in sales, marketing, and media is preferred
Interest/knowledge in college athletics is also preferred
