CECC Stipend Application Form
WELCOME CECC CONTENDERS
In 2025, CECC May Madness is implementing a new process for each qualifying team to apply for travel stipends. The travel stipend application process was introduced to ensure that teams meet specific eligibility criteria before receiving financial assistance. This approach allows us to allocate stipends more effectively, as we continue to grow the CECC community.
Please click the form below and the team's POC must complete the form. Eligibility criteria will be reviewed and submission of this application does not guarantee approval of funding.
STIPEND APPLICATION PROCESS
Schools must confirm their commitment to financially supporting their team's travel. To verify this, schools must complete this form and submit all required materials to tconvertino@collegiatesmg.com or via Discord @neonstar.
Proof of School Authorization: Schools must provide official confirmation that they have secured internal funding for qualifying team travel. This authorization letter serves as both verification of financial support and confirmation of the team's eligibility to attend the event.
Official Request Letter: Signing this form serves as the official request for stipend consideration.
Estimated Travel Costs: A breakdown of expected expenses, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
Number of Attendees: The total number of teams competing at CECC and the number of players per team.
The Point of Contact (POC) for each team must complete the form (listed below) to request travel stipends for CECC May Madness 2025.
Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) and the Videogames and Esports Foundation (VEF) are responsible for distributing prizes, scholarships, and travel stipends. Once this form is completed and approved, the Videogames and Esports Foundation will distribute funds to schools that have received an official CECC bid. These funds should be used exclusively for travel and lodging expenses to attend CECC May Madness 2025 in Arlington, Texas.
The stipend distribution process will be structured over the qualification period, ensuring that analysis takes place as teams qualify for their bids. Stipends will not be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather in alignment with the qualification timeline to ensure fair and equitable distribution.
Upon receiving funds, schools may either:
Distribute stipends to individual players for travel and lodging, OR
Allocate funds to cover team-wide travel and lodging costs.
ONCE APPROVED, REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH TEAM
Teams must book travel and lodging within 15 days of receiving the stipend. If not, the stipend must be returned to the Videogames and Esports Foundation before CECC begins.
If a team does not attend CECC, the stipend must be returned within 15 days of the event.
