EPISODE 3: SPORTS SUMMIT WITH CSMG - THE IMPORTANCE OF COLLEGIATE ESPORTS IN A POST-CORONAVIRUS WORLD


The Importance of Collegiate Esports in a Post-Coronavirus World on June 16, 2020 will feature esports industry leaders. The panel will feature the leaders of the two collegiate governing bodies for esports, Dan Coonan of the ECAC Esports and Jeff White of the NJCAAE. The dominant association in high school esports, Generation Esports, will be represented by Trevor Jenson. Patrick Klein, co-founder of eFuse, and Kevin Mitchell of Collegiate Esports Expo will bring their impressive business knowledge and insights of the esports industry to the panel. The panelists will discuss the current state of collegiate esports due to the Covid-19 impact, and its future growth opportunities.

The Future and Growth of HBCU Athletics

The Future and Growth of Historically Black Colleges and Universities features leadership experience across the entire HBCU community. The topics include the challenges and opportunities facing HBCU athletic programs before, during, and after the coronavirus pandemic. The panelists will discuss the educational, cultural, and social climate for minority students athletes at HBCU institutions. Discussion will also include the HBCU commitment to their traditions and historical legacy.

This episode will introduce emerging techniques and strategies, discussed by a panel of analytics and valuation experts, practitioners and end users covering traditional sports and esports. 


The panel will highlight best practices moving forward in monetizing school and conference’s assets during these trying and uncertain times, leveraging media rights and content, and understanding marketplace value.
