STAMFORD, CT (March 29, 2022) – Tickets are on sale NOW at www.cecc.gg for ESPORTSU’s Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (“CECC”), the largest collegiate esports live event ever, taking place May 7-8, 2022 at the iconic Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Pre-sale of full weekend ticket packages are $15 ($20 after May 1, 2022), with individual day passes for Saturday, May 7, or Sunday, May 8 running $10 each.
The Collegiate Sports Management Group (“CSMG”), an integrated sports and entertainment media company focused on esports and traditional sports in the new creator economy, is producing the event in partnership with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, the NBA G League’s College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta Esports Alliance, and Skillshot Media.
CECC will offer competitors, fans, and brand partners an immersive festival experience including food trucks, live music, career fair, professional networking, cosplay costume contests, interactive onsite activations, and of course, intense competition across Overwatch® (the Overwatch Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup), Rocket League, NBA 2K, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and Valorant. In addition to its scheduled tournaments, esports athletes and fans alike will have the opportunity to participate in open-play tournaments and free-play gaming. ESPORTSU will be unveiling additional game titles in the coming weeks.
“This will be a premier event highlighting students from across the country competing in the top esports titles,” said Angela Bernhard Thomas, EVP of ESPORTSU at CSMG. “We’ve worked diligently with our partners to ensure that CECC features the most inclusive and diverse set of partners coming together to produce the most exciting collegiate esports event ever.”
Additional partnerships for the event include Twitch Student, the*gameHERs, Cxmmunity, HBCU Esports, Atlanta FaZe, Atlanta Reign, Ghost Gaming, Esports Foundry, and Georgia Scholastic Esports Foundation.
Georgia-based schools are invited to show their school pride and love of gaming by participating in CECC’s ‘Dominate the Stands’ initiative, where $1 of every ticket they sell to the event will be donated back to their schools by CSMG/ESPORTSU.
CECC event coverage will be streamed across the ESPORTSU Twitch channel and on ESTV, the first 24/7 live video channel dedicated to esports distributed globally to 60M+ households. For more information, visit https://collegiatesmg.com/cecc/ and @CeccEvents on Twitter and Instagram
