CSMG extends multi-year representation for CAA media rights


RICHMOND, VA – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Collegiate Sports Management Group have extended the agreement for representation of the conference’s media rights through 2023. CSMG will continue to negotiate and advise on all television, digital/streaming, audio, website and mobile deals on behalf of the conference. 

“The CAA is very pleased to be able to extend its partnership with CSMG,” CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio said. “Over the past three years CSMG was instrumental in helping our Conference secure several important media rights agreements including our revolutionary agreement with FloSports. Going forward, the CAA looks forward to working with CSMG to continue to grow the brand of the Conference by highlighting, within an ever-changing media landscape, the incredible athletic and academic accomplishments of our coaches and student-athletes.”

CSMG has led media strategy and negotiations on behalf of the CAA conference since 2016 and has brokered several deals including the ground-breaking, seven-figure annual agreement with FloSports; the CBS TV package of Men’s basketball games including the regular season, and the semifinals and finals of the CAA Tournament; Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse agreements with Lax Sports Network, Westwood One Radio, Sidearm Sports, Stretch Internet, FOX, and a handful of local/regional Linear RSN deals for several CAA schools.
